BBM heads to the top of Google Play

After only a few hours into the initial release, BBM had made its way into the top charts for the Google Play store. It already has a great start for iOS users as well so it's great to see that it's fired up Android users too. As of now BBM is riding high in Google Play with downloads in the 10,000,000 - 50,000,000 range, putting it in the number one position for new releases! That's fantastic!
We knew immediately after the original (botched) launch that BBM would be a hit on other platforms as Google Trends show it was hugely popular. The proof is in the pudding now and we can see that BBM is taking off on both iOS and Android and we can hope that it continues to see even more traction as updates roll out to bring more features like BBM Video and BBM Channels.
