The M (milestone) releases in CM are the ones before the Release Candidate ROMs and are considered stable for daily drivers. That means that all variations of the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are a flash (read ROM flash) away from enjoying beefed up stock Android.
As for the rest of the devices – well they’re getting the nightly treatment of CM 11. That means lots of bugs and crashes with daily updates and a long wait list before things become stable. And then there’s the developer support to speak of – not all devices are getting CM 11 nightlies, mind you.
The Nexus line that can enjoy CM 11-M1 should have little to no issues with the software, except with services made by the CM team itself. That’s because the hardware is tailored to the KitKat software specifically. It’s important to note that some users are having trouble flashing the software with the TWRP recovery and the CM team recommends using ClockworkMod.
